Cheryl Arkison
Let’s meet Cheryl Arkison from Alberta. Canada’s Queen of Improv, Cheryl taught us to embrace every scrap and just keep going. on her website, she describes herself : "A little mischievous, a lot creative". She has authored and contributed to several books and been a featured guest on quilting programs and in publications. She is a fun and funny teacher. It looks too messy or 2. They don’t have pretty scraps. In this lecture and trunk show I will show you all the pleasures of using your scraps. Improv Lettering Workshop Description Say what you want to say, but say it in a quilt. From simple holidays greetings to profound statements, use words in quilts to convey your message. This class covers planning and construction for any letter. This is an improv technique. Fabric selection and value are also discussed in the class. Daisy Aschehoug
Let’s meet Daisy Aschehoug from Norway, and previously from the US. Daisy is a star designer who has championed curves in so many forms. She has been present at almost every QuilCon since it started. Her teaching & published has been prolific for at least a decade.

Workshop: Curved Strip Sets – Swoopies
This is a chance to combine a variety of precise curves with improv piecing in a full day workshop.
You will also learn options for combining both large and small acrylic templates.

Janice, from Vancouver, is an accomplished quilter who has had quilts at both QuiltCon and Quilt Canada.
Her quilt Anechoic won a major Ribbon at QuiltCon 2024.
She had 2 quilts accepted into QuiltCon 2025 and Quilt Canada and Sonar won 3rd place in the Modern category.
And now Sonar is going to QuiltCon 2026.
Her style is super original and very graphic, clearly reflecting her scientific roots and passion for numbers.
