Donation:
Traditionally at our December meeting, we have a lively game and gift exchange between members. This year instead of the gift exchange, we propose to take the money we may have spent on each other, to donate instead to the "Toys for Tots" program in London. Each member is welcome to bring in an unwrapped toy, and this will be delivered after the meeting to the Toys for Tots program for distribution to needy families. Our chosen charitable recipient of donated quilts, the London Cross Cultural Learner Centre, is also one of the agencies who benefits from this program. For those guild members outside of London, you may wish to consider making a Christmas donation within your own community. You can find more information about the Toys for Tots program here. |
