January Meeting Agenda

Since our agenda is short this month, please feel free to bring a project with you to work on for the last half of the meeting!

Our first meeting of the new year will be a little bit different than a typical meeting. The East Lions Artisans Centre (1731 Churchill Ave) will be holding an Open House on Saturday January 10, 2105 from 10-12:30pm. Our meeting will take place immediately after the Open House from 12:30-2:30pm. Please be sure to stop by the Open House before our meeting and have a look around and meet some of the other Artisan groups that meet there.

Fabric Needed!

At December's meeting, Lyndsey shared her completed flag quilt. This quilt was inspired by Cheryl Arkison's 'Oh, Canada' quilt.

As part of our continuing community effort, Lynsdey will be working with the sewing group at Limberlost to create a flag quilt that will represent the flags of all of the members of the group. She is looking for some materials and scraps to assist with the project. If you have any of the following, please bring them with you to the meeting on Saturday, January 10, 2015:

Fabric Scraps. Specifically in the colours white, black red, blue, green, yellow
Batting. The overall size of the quilt will be 46'x62". Batting of any size is always appreciated.
Large pieces of fabric for the backing.

If you are able to donate, but unable to make it to the meeting, please email us.

The sewing group at Limberlost has been on hiatus since December, but will resume January 20, 2015.

A New Home for the New Year!

It's official! We have a new place to call home. Beginning January 10, 2015, we will be meeting at The East Lions Artisans Centre located at 1731 Churchill Ave, London, ON. This is a very exciting move for us! We will join many other Artisan groups within the London Arts Community. This move also gives us the ability to grow as a guild.

We cannot move forward without taking looking back at where we have come from. We want to thank one of our founding members and Guild Chair, Chantal for her hospitality and offering us our previous home at her shop Hyggeligt Fabrics. Thank you Chantal!
