There were lots of new faces at our August meeting as members of the Ancaster Group came to exchange quilts with our members. Just look at these beautiful quilts!
Kristen talked about our Fall 2019 Quilt Show to be held at Grosvenor Lodge. She passed around a sample of the postcards that have been printed for promotion purposes (they look fabulous!!!). Fabrics are still available for our Contest-Black and White plus One. If you wish to enter, pick up fabrics from Kristen at our next meeting. Registration for all quilts is due in April --but the actual quilt is not needed until closer to the fall.There is also additional display room for quilts of various sizes, outside of our contest.
Linda brought us up to date on all things MQG. She talked about a great Graffiti Quilting Webinar available on the MQG website--access with your local membership. And any Quilt-Con magazine submissions are due by September 17.
The Ancaster Guild invited us to a September 5 workshop they are hosting with Paul Leger. His workshop is titled More Patchwork Illusions and he will also have a Trunk Show. Register by contacting them directly.
