Mary shared how they were able to teach quilting and sewing techniques, share and experience fabric painting and dying. They were able to take 200 lbs of donated quilting supplies and purchase sewing machines that were shared with Ghanan women.
Mary and her daughter went to Ghana, Africa in January to work with a group of women who are part of the Global Mamas. This international organization helps Ghanan women learn to sew, make items to sell to support their families. They do have a website selling clothing and other items. Mary shared how they were able to teach quilting and sewing techniques, share and experience fabric painting and dying. They were able to take 200 lbs of donated quilting supplies and purchase sewing machines that were shared with Ghanan women.
