Suzanne Paquette is a modern quilter, designer, and creative director, based in Montreal, QC. Suzanne designs and creates modern heirloom memory quilts, combining her love of modern aesthetics and the emotional engagement of objects with meaning. Suzanne’s experience —a degree in fashion design, to working for Cirque du Soleil for 13 years, and then Camelot Fabrics as their marketing director — has led her to a focus on modern memory quilting. Her work has appeared in books - Handmade Getaway (Getaway Press, 2018), Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century, and The T-Shirt Quilt Book (C&T Publishing, 2017); quilt exhibitions (QuiltCon 2018 and 2017, and Moderniser la Courtepointe, 2016) and other publications including The New York Times, Toronto Star, and Montreal Gazette. Suzanne's book Modern Heirloom Quilts: A Handbook for Capturing Meaningful Moments (C&T Publishing) delivers in January 2019. When she’s not creating for Atelier Six, Suzanne (a member of the Montreal MQG) shares her passion for combining design and empathy through her modern memory quilting workshops. ateliersixdesign.com
