To Boston With Love Re-Exhibited

In 2013, our Guild contributed in the "To Boston With Love" exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.  This was a collaborative effort of makers to bring peace and love from far and wide to the city of Boston after the tragic bombing that occurred during the Boston Marathon in April 2013.   The project was conceived by Berene Campbell of the Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild and Amy Friend of "During Quiet Time".  The installation will be re-exhibited this year to honour the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon tragedy.   To read more about this exhibit, please click HERE.

Our February meeting was held, February 8, 014.  Our Show and Share agenda included our members "Modern Quilt Guild Riley Blake Challenge" entires.  We have some very talented members!!

At the end of the meeting, Kristyn took home the last unclaimed bundle of fabric.  Here is what she came up with in less than a week!

February Meeting Reminder

Here is a quick reminder that the February Meeting will be held this Saturday, February 8th!  As always the meeting will be held from 10am until 12pm, at Hyggeligt Fabrics, 515 Richmond Street, Unit 3, London, ON N6A 5N4.

There month's agenda includes:
  • Show & Share:  Bring your Riley Blake Challenge piece to share at the meeting.   It will be great to see what everyone came up with.  If you're not finished, not to worry, the official deadline isn't until February 17, 2014.  Details on how to submit your piece will be shared at the meeting.
  • Bring a piece of modern inspiration that may inspire you to make a modern quilt.  This could be an image, a piece of fabric, or anything else that inspires you.
  • Bring any ideas or thoughts you may have on future meeting agendas.
