We had the "blues" at the April meeting as Lyndsey presented the colour blue. She discussed the effect of using blue in a quilt to give serenity or a classic look. We looked at ways to make the blue either recede or pop out and at other colours that combine well with blue. We experimented with our fabric samples to see what we liked best.
Mary had attended a Sarasota MQG meeting while in Florida . It sounds like we are more hands on!
Lyndsey has donated another quilt to the Mennonite auction in New Hamburg. It is her way of recognizing the efforts of the Mennonite disaster relief organization in bringing her grandfather to Canada as a refugee after WW11.

Veronica had attended the Jacquie Gering workshop on walking foot quilting. She showed us her samples and shared Jacquie's tips for making some great designs.
