December Meeting Preparation & Agenda

Note: We are not moving our meeting location!!!  The City of London has postponed the renovation of the East Lion's Artisan Centre until June 2017.  This means we can stay put and enjoy the perks of having our own dedicated space!  As we approach June 2017, we will provide more information on the actual move

Here is an early reminder for our December Meeting!
Here is our agenda:

• Membership renewals are due for 2017. You can renew online via Paypal by clicking here or in person by cheque. 
• Sign Up for Libs Elliot Workshop.  More Info can be found here.
• SIgn Up for Fabric Dyeing Workshop, July 8, 2017.  Cost $65 to be paid at meeting.
• Open Executive Positions
• We will have a open sew-in until 4:30pm that day.  Bring a project and stay for the afternoon!
  

The rest requires a bit of preparation, so here are the details:

Eat.

Bring a yummy snack to share during our meeting.

Gift.

Bring a small handmade gift to exchange with the group.  It should be small like a mug rug, placemat, pin cushion etc. 

Make.

Linda will be teaching us how to make a ticker tape quilt.  You can make yours to be any size you wish. Here is what you need to bring for this project:

• A quilt sandwich of your desired size already assembled. The top fabric, batting and back fabric basted and sandwiched together.  Not sure what we mean?  Click here to find out.
• Watersoluble Glue stick
• Mini Charm Packs (as many as you desire to create your size of quilt)  OR Small Scrap pieces of fabric (approx 2"x2" Squares or similar in size)
• Typical sewing kit (sewing machine, thread, power cord, snips etc.)
