We had a good turnout for yesterday's meeting at the Boyle Community Centre.
We have some fun summer events that you are welcome to join. Our Stitch in the Park (With movies and Food Trucks) is being held on July 24. We meet at 6 near the Bandshell. Bring some handwork (sewing knitting etc) and a friend!
On July 27 at The Marsh Store, we are holding a pop up picnic. Bring a snack to share, some handwork and feel free to bring a friend.
At our August Meeting we will be having a Fabric Collage Workshop. Please bring a small selection of fabric and fusible.
At our September Meeting we will feature demos of tips and tricks as well as demonstrating favourite notions. Also in September we are having a GARAGE SALE. Please bring along any surplus fabric you have at home, priced. We will have our sale at the end of our meeting and the proceeds will go to our Limberlost program.
Fall Quilt Show. We still need Volunteers to help with the various tasks for our Quilt Show at Grosvenor Lodge. Please sign up online or at our next meeting. There are lots of different jobs!
Charity Quilt for QuiltCon. Squares are available for pickup and will be done in pairs (one to sew and one to embroider). All instructions provided. Completed squares are due in September.
We concluded our meeting with a circuit of Border workshops by Linda M, Shirley C and Kristyn M. Each station demonstrated different styles and aspects of borders including mitred corners, measuring, resizing and including a flange. Great instruction.
As usual, we had a stellar demonstration of our quilter's talents.
