Our quilters continue to impress us every month with the creativity and skill shown in their quilting projects. September was no exception. Check out the beautiful photos below!
There was a request for volunteers to help in Executive position, so if you are able to help in any way, please let us know at our October 13 meeting.
In October, Doris and Becky of the Toronto Modern Quilt Guild will be doing a trunk show of members' quilts. In November, we will learn paperless paper piecing, and in December we will have our regular Pot Luck starting at 10am and sewing all afternoon until 5pm.
We are also looking forward to having Andrea Tsang-Jackson as a guest from May 10-11, 2019. Andrea won the Group Award at Quilt Con 2018. She will have a trunk Show on Friday night and will hold a workshop on Saturday. You may sign up for her workshop on Map Quilting at our next meeting and the cost is $85.00 (plus kit)
We are also looking for ideas for our 2019 Programming. You may email the Guild or you bring your ideas to our next meeting.
Jan is taking registration for those wishing to enter quilts in our September 2019 show at Grosvenor Lodge. We also have our promotional postcards ready and these are being distributed.
The Cherrywood Challenge 2018 Quilt Show, hosted by The Cotton Harvest Quilt Shop, will be at the Seaforth Legion on October 18,19 and 20. This is an incredible opportunity to see the work of quilters (from all over the world) working with the unique Cherrywood fabric. This year's theme is PRINCE.
Kristyn gave a wonderful presentation on entering your quilt in a quilt show. If you have quilts you would like to be photographed, bring them to our October meeting. We will have a camera and work on taking perfect photos for you!
