Sheilagh and Kristyn went to the Toronto MQG meeting on the last Sunday of November- which was a great meeting to attend since it was their holiday meeting! Games and treats and great company.
Rebecca went through the guild business at the start of the meeting, and then straight into games. They played "quilting" bingo with quilt blocks for the bingo cards. The members made the bingo cards with certain colours of fabric and used a variety of prints, solids, checks, flowers etc for the different squares. Then there was a secret gift game where one person picks a gift, then the next person can either steal that gift or pick a new one. This got pretty stressful as there was a fold up thread catcher and a beautiful necklace that kept being stolen over and over again. Here is a photo of the whole group with their gifts.
The last game really put your mind to work. Rebecca (with some help from her daughter) made a bunch of HST blocks and had diagrams on how to organize the HST to make blocks. Two people raced against each other and the fastest person won. It was arranged like a tournament with finally Rebecca and Samarra as the final 2. The whole game was quite competitive!
